Why California is Crazy—Believe One Thing/Votes Against Beliefs

PPIC did a major polling of Californians on candidates and issues.  Buried deep in the poll is a listing of issues on policy and concerns.  Read the responses carefully.  It will explain why California is mismanaged, the people don’t like that—but then vote for those who mismanage the State into a collapse.

No need to explain the results, they speak for themselves.  As we go into the 2024 campaign, we need to understand the minds of the voters.

The results of this poll are of 1,660 adult California residents, most of whom are registered voters. As of March 5th statewide there were 26.67 Million eligible voters, 22.11 Million registered voters (82.91% of eligible), 10.35 Million registered Democrats (46.82% of registered), 5.286 Million registered Republicans (23.90% of registered), 4.91 Million registered with no party preference (22.23% of registered), with the rest registered with 3rd Parties.

The survey was conducted in both English and Spanish. It was also concentrated in 5 regions (Central Valley, Inland Empire, Los Angeles County, Orange/San Diego Counties, and the San Francisco Bay Area) where approximately 90 percent of Californians live.
