HEARD ON THE TOM/TOMS

Heard on the Tom/Toms

Stephen Frank, Exclusive to the California Political News and Views,  2/23/24    www.capoliticalnewsandviews.com

1.The Kern County (GOP) Central Committee gave the CVYR $50,000.00 that was recorded on 2/9/2024. The CVYR then spent the money for slate mailers to advocate the election of Ken Weir as a write-in candidate for Vince Fong’s Assembly seat. They also spent money on a slate mailer to advocate the re-election of most of the incumbents on the central committee.

The treasurer for the CVYR is Mathew Martin. He is a central committee member, worked for Western Pacific research under Cathy Abernathy, and is currently the chief of staff for Jeff Flores, a county Supervisor in Kern County. The treasurer (and chairman) of the KCCC is KEN WEIR. I have not been able to have anyone tell me that there was a committee meeting where this expenditure was discussed or approved.

So, Ken writes a check for CVYR and hands it to Mathew Martin and then Mathew pays for slate mailers benefiting himself, Ken, and all the incumbents on the Central Committee that were endorsed by Cathy Abernathy.

BUT, the Central Committee, as of 9:30am, 2/16/24 had not reported the LATE contribution to the FPCC.  Hope someone looks into that—just another manipulation of the rules?  Remember, Fong is running for TWO partisan offices at the same time—first person in history of California.

NOTE:  The members of the Kern County Central Committee did not discuss or vote on this expenditure!  Looks like Ken Weir and Cathy Abernathy are as transparent as any Democrat.  This is the GOP “leadership” in the Central Valley, Kern County.

2.  If you donated to a Kevin McCarthy PAC for the purpose of defeating Democrats and electing Republicans, you need to get your money back.  With some of his other PAC’s, he is working toi defeat eight GOP members of Congress, those who force him out of the Speakers position.  All of them are in solid RED districts.  Now, he is trying to fix the mess he caused in the Central Valley.

Kevin McCarthy put $500,000 of Republican donor money (McPAC & another anti-MAGA NV SuperPAC) into a new Super PAC called Central Valley Values PAC FEC Coo866269, formed on 1.17.24 that is located in Las Vegas, NV to support his minion Vince Fong.

So far it has spent $118,000 against MAGA Sheriff Mike Boudreaux for Congress and $300,000 in support of Fong.
