The real question here is why didn’t the Kern County DA bring the charges YEARS ago?
“According to the Department of Justice in Fresno, Williams stole between $230,000 and 435,000 from the Kern County Republican Central Committee between 2013 and 2019 when he was the committee’s treasurer.
Prosecutors said Williams used the money for his personal use. In 2022, Williams was fined by the Federal Election Commission under an agreement with regulators after admitting he embezzled $272,000. FEC documents showed Williams did not keep records of payments to himself resulting in the committee filing inaccurate reports with the FEC.”
Anybody got an answer?
