I can not do the Tango or the Cha-Cha. But I quickly learned how to do the “Trump Dance”, even with my two left feet.
This is becoming a cultural phenomenon and driving even more Democrats into a mental mental down.
While Newsom has started his 2028 race for President, the Progressives are denouncing Kamala and the Democrats for not going full Commie, Trump, with a dance, has shown the start of a new culture—and no one is cancelled.
We are in for the most exciting, transformative first 100 days of a Presidency since 1933 and FDR. We will be turning away from socialism and hate, back to free markets and real joy for everyone.

At a recent family gathering I tried to my impress my siblings by doing a rendition of the “Trump Dance”. These were the same moves done by Elon Musk, UFC wrestlers, and football stars including Nick Bosa of my beloved 49ers.
One would think emulating the dance steps of the President Elect would bring accolades. Instead my wife threatened to call an attorney or a trained trauma phycologist, if I didn’t stop.
Of course my efforts trying to be the next John Travolta didn’t merit an appearance on Dancing With the Stars. But, was it that bad?
Regrettably, “yes”.
The point is that in California it has been very difficult to publicly celebrate the triumph of Donald Trump. Not did he only garner over 300 electoral delegates, but won the popular vote as well. With this being the case, why should Republicans feel ashamed for winning?
With the exception to recalling some George Soros sponsored DA’s, rejecting increased minimum wages, and supporting crime fighting Prop 36, it is business as usual in the Golden State.
Democrats still control 80% of seats in the Assembly along with 31 of 40 members of the Senate. While many of the races were a bit tighter this year, very little has changed..
Gavin Newsom still acts like his buddy Kamala won in a landslide. He defiantly traveled to Washington D.C. last week vowing to thwart Donald Trump’s plans to get rid of Sanctuary Cities. The governor also promised to foil I.C.E. from deporting illegal aliens with criminal records.
In addition Newsom, as a supporter of the Green New Deal, vowed to fight the reduction of regulations pertaining to electric vehicles, pollution, and energy. Apparently, it is his belief California is an independent country who is not required to follow the edicts of the Federal Government.
Newsom and his Attorney General intend to clog the courts with injunctions and lawsuits intended to stop Donald Trump from implementing policies for which he was given a mandate by voters.
Much like Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James, Newsom is not cognizant nor aware the war is over until midterm elections in 2026.
Another school of thought theorizes Newsom’s defiant attitude is an effort on his part to be the foundation for a run for the Presidentcy in 2028.
At this point who cares?
Meanwhile, California is left holding the bag. With a current debt the State conservatively at 68 billion dollars, the Governor will have to face the music:
- If Sanctuary Cities are to be supported, it will be without Federal assistance other than ponying up for plane tickets.
- Rather than bestowing billions of Covid Assistance, financial support for the Bullet Train, and welfare programs, the new Administration will be much tighter allocating funds destined for the “Left Coast”.
- With businesses fleeing California in record numbers, it will likely prove impossible for Newsom to depend on shrinking revenues to to bail-out his expensive Socialistic agenda.
- To counter increased budget deficits, no doubt new revenue will be imposed on weary taxpayers and businesses. Resistance can be expected, especially on the energy front.
Making things even worse are the added expenses being imposed on the State being responsible for supporting more Medicaid recipients under Proposition 35.
With these battlegrounds being drawn, the political environment is ripe for a rebirth of the Republican Party. The seeds for this revival have been planted by Trump’s big win.
What the GOP must do is provide alternatives to counter the Marxist Lite policies emanating from Sacramento. Fiscal responsibility, resisting the demands of government unions, and offering voters an alternative to the present Democratic mess, are a must.
Just as important is the necessity of Republicans to emerge from the shadows. They have to stand proudly as a voice of reform. In the next couple years the Party must come up with a group of viable candidates to fill State government posts including the next Governor in 2026.
This will require new leadership in the California Republican Party to provide a platform of change along with enough fundraising to back it up.
Fortunately for me, it shouldn’t be necessary to mimic the dance moves of Donald Trump. Following his lead, cutting government waste in Washington D.C., will prove to be enough to satisfy my hopes and dreams.
As for California, the GOP has the opportunity to make an overdue generational change in the place we fondly call home.
