Can anyone explain what “climate change” means”? The 2017 Thomas fire in Ventura County was claimed to be due to climate change per Guv Jerry Brown and Lt. Gov. Newsom. We now know it was because of ill maintained powerlines of SoCalEdison. Yet, San Fran, maybe they have smoked bad pot, continue to use climate change to create a socialist utopia.
“Moving against the tide of Trump administration orders rolling back action on climate change, San Francisco State plans to debut a new twist on an old graduation requirement about the environment. Starting next fall, courses meeting an existing environmental sustainability requirement will teach undergraduate students that climate change has an unequal toll — and will explore how people are finding ways to adapt.
Now they will use climate change to indoctrinate students against capitalism and freedom. Another reason for school choice. The Soviets would love San Fran and its ending of science and education.

Moving against the tide of Trump administration orders rolling back action on climate change, San Francisco State plans to debut a new twist on an old graduation requirement about the environment. Starting next fall, courses meeting an existing environmental sustainability requirement will teach undergraduate students that climate change has an unequal toll — and will explore how people are finding ways to adapt.
Students at the campus of more than 22,000, which is one of 23 sister campuses in the California State University system, have had to fulfill an environmental sustainability requirement since 2010, taking courses like California Water and Philosophy of Risk. The modified requirement will additionally require those courses to grapple with themes related to climate justice, the concept that climate change is having a disproportionate effect on low-income communities, communities of color and people living in the least developed countries — often referred to as the “global south.” Coursework will also examine the solutions such communities are developing in response to phenomena like rising sea levels.
Autumn Thoyre, a co-director of San Francisco State’s Climate HQ, which advocated for the university to incorporate climate change and climate justice themes into its existing sustainability requirement, said the update is a response to student demand as well as engagement with faculty. The hope is that it will appeal to prospective students, too.
“Our students are facing climate change sometimes in their daily lives,” she said, adding that there is a need not just for scientists to study climate change, but for artists, writers, doctors and businesspeople to understand how it will impact their fields. “It is an all-hands-on-deck kind of crisis,” she said.
Students at San Francisco State share general education requirements with the other 22 universities that are part of the California State University system, but individual campuses can also require additional coursework. The modified environmental sustainability standards are among the requirements specific to San Francisco State.
San Francisco State officials say the revised requirement will not alter students’ graduation plans. More than 100 current courses fulfilling the existing requirement — which span fields as disparate as biology and ethnic studies — will be grandfathered in to fulfill the new one. Many of the courses already teach students about climate change and climate justice, according to the university, but the revision requires both components going forward.
In the future, Thoyre said, San Francisco State hopes to inspire the CSU system to pursue similar curricular changes across its universities. “Making changes at the CSU level has a huge impact on California,” she said. “California is one of the largest economies in the world. If you change California, you change the world.”
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has signed a series of executive orders related to the environment, including actions taking steps to exit the Paris climate agreement and revoke incentives for electric vehicles.
Climate Change means you can blame all disasters on a plausibility the populist will accept as gospel. Ill maintained power lines has no sex appeal.
