Illegal Aliens Commit Economic Suicide in Bakersfield

Illegal aliens and their friends committed economic suicide in Bakersfield.  A few bars and restaurants, along with small grocery stores closed on Monday to protest Trump enforcing our immigration laws.  So, these businesses lost revenues, workers did not get paid and consumers went to other bars for a beer or a burgher.  This was economic suicide.

Tuesday the places re-opened, ICE continued to arrest and deport criminals, while these small businesses harmed their economic survival.

““In solidarity with our Latino/Hispanic community all our El Puesto locations will be closed Monday Feb. 3 in efforts to bring attention against the devastating immigration policies affecting our communities,” El Puesto Cocina Lounge said in an Instagram post Sunday. “Together we can make a difference.”

Added to this, they wanted students, already well behind in their education, to stay home.  So, they committed economic suicide and decided to keep their kids dumb.  I call this parent abuse.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Several restaurants and businesses in the Kern County area are closed Monday for a “Day Without Immigrants,” a nationwide initiative designed to show the importance of immigrants’ contributions to their communities.

The movement encourages immigrants to stay home from work and school and refrain from shopping amid a crackdown on immigration from the Trump Administration.

Some of the establishments participating include Con Azucar Café, El Puesto Cocina Lounge, and Mercado Latino.

“In solidarity with our Latino/Hispanic community all our El Puesto locations will be closed Monday Feb. 3 in efforts to bring attention against the devastating immigration policies affecting our communities,” El Puesto Cocina Lounge said in an Instagram post Sunday. “Together we can make a difference.”

  1. If this is how it’s gonna be, then boycott those places. What people don’t understand is if we go to mexico illegally, then we get thrown in jail. If we illegally enter
any place in the Middle East? Then we’re either shot or thrown in jail for the rest of our lives. What do people not get. How about the fact that under Obama? More than a million people were deported, families were separated and they were shoved in cages. Yet no one yelled and screamed and shut their business down when obama did what he did. Not once. Did you see somebody on the right? Our constitutional person or a christian shut their business down under obama or biden. We didn’t block traffic on the freeway. We didn’t set businesses on fire. Yet we keep allowing this and it needs to stop. If you can’t pledge allegiance to the united states of america where you live and are a citizen and fly an american flag, not a mexican flight or whatever flight, then maybe you need to go back to that country. A lot of men and women died for your right to come here and have freedom, and if you can’t show respect and get out!

  2. “Together we can make a difference.” Well that’s not true… It’s a federal matter and the President wants to enforce the law and there’s no chance that Congress will change it… So, no, local protests won’t do anything.
