It looks like the corrupt LA city hall is at it again. Maybe the proposed bonds do not have enough money for the donors and friends of government?
“— The Los Angeles City Council voted 10-5 on Wednesday to include an analysis of a proposed fire safety bond measure in a broader list of 12 potential ballot items, a move that Councilmembers Traci Park and Monica Rodriguez argue diminishes the urgency of addressing the city’s fire safety needs.
Councilmembers Criticize Delay in Fire Safety Investment
In a joint statement following the vote, Park and Rodriguez condemned the council’s decision, calling it “deeply disappointing and a disservice to every Angeleno who depends on LAFD’s ability to respond in an emergency.”
“Despite these frightening conditions, the City Council today failed to act with urgency by voting against expediting an analysis of a dedicated fire safety bond measure. Instead, it chose to postpone critical action,” they stated.
This is how the victim of the Newsom Palisades fires will be made victims of government again.

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles City Council voted 10-5 on Wednesday to include an analysis of a proposed fire safety bond measure in a broader list of 12 potential ballot items, a move that Councilmembers Traci Park and Monica Rodriguez argue diminishes the urgency of addressing the city’s fire safety needs.
The bond measure was first introduced by Park and Rodriguez on January 14, aiming to address the city’s outdated fire safety infrastructure and provide necessary resources for the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
The councilmembers stressed that Los Angeles is critically below national standards for fire safety resources. “Our fire stations are decades overdue for modernization, and our first responders are stretched to the limit without the personnel, equipment, or facilities needed to protect our growing city. The decision today further delays substantive action on one of the most pressing public safety challenges we face.”
Urgent Need for Modern Fire Infrastructure
Park highlighted the deteriorating state of LAFD infrastructure, noting that half of the city’s 106 fire stations are more than 50 years old, with 12 surpassing 70 years and four over 80 years old. According to the General Services Department, repairing and upgrading a single station costs over $1 million.
Rodriguez, whose district encompasses large swaths of high fire-danger zones in the San Fernando Valley, has been advocating for an additional fire station for two decades, but previous requests have been denied.
A Call for Immediate Action
Park and Rodriguez’s motion calls for the City Administrative Officer, Chief Legislative Analyst, City Attorney, and LAFD to deliver a report within 60 days outlining a proposed bond measure for the June 26 election. The measure would fund fire station repairs, maintenance, and the construction of new facilities to support LAFD’s long-term operational needs.
“We must prioritize this bond initiative with the same urgency as all other recovery efforts,” Park said. “Further delays only put lives and communities at risk.”
This is why we can’t afford to elect a Pinko for our city offices next year. Traci Park is the ONLY good member of the city council, and she may get my vote if she runs for mayor. The last decent Los Angeles City Council member until Park was Wendy Greuel.
