This is the start of this world-famous burger joint leaving California. Note they are opening an office in Tennessee. It takes time to move a major corporation. Of course, when they fully move their profits will go up 13%–by eliminating the California corporate tax—and the employees at HQ will get a 13% raise—at no cost to the company.

A company spokesperson said In-N-Out would no longer maintain two office locations in Southern California and plans to close the Irvine location in 2029.”
At least we will be able to still buy their burgers in California.

IRVINE – Orange County is about to lose one of its largest companies and most recognizable brands, as the beloved fast-food chain In-N-Out confirmed it is leaving its Irvine headquarters by returning to its corporate roots in Baldwin Park. The corporate reorganization will occur by 2029.
Corporate employees would also be given the option to relocate to Franklin, Tennessee, where In-N-Out announced expansion plans last year.
A company spokesperson said In-N-Out would no longer maintain two office locations in Southern California and plans to close the Irvine location in 2029.
“Some of our associates will be relocating to Tennessee, which makes it even more important to centralize our western headquarters in one location, and our company’s deepest roots are in Baldwin Park,” Lynsi Snyder, chain owner and president, said in a statement. “Our West Coast family will be together in one place, where In-N-Out Burger began.”
The fast-food restaurant is building its “Eastern Territory” office in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville. It is slated to open in 2026.
In-N-Out’s corporate headquarters is currently at 4199 Campus Drive, Suite 900 in Irvine, but the fast-food company also has an office in Baldwin Park, the L.A. County suburb where the restaurant was founded nearly 77 years ago. In-N-Out is the third-largest restaurant chain, by revenue, in Orange County, according to Business Journal data.
Additional details about In-N-Out’s move will be reported in the Feb. 17 issue.
