“Chilean robbery gangs have been operating across the US for years — but ignored by the feds until they started targeting star athletes like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, according to a California district attorney pushing for a legal change to crack down on them.
“These Chileans have been coming here for years and everybody knows about it,” Orange County DA Todd Spitzer told “Fox & Friends” Thursday, calling it “tourism burglary.”
“They’re going to Orlando, Florida, where Disney World is. They’re coming to Orange County, California, where Disneyland is. And they’re not here to visit the happiest place on Earth — they’re here to burglarize,” he noted of two key targets.
This has been going on for Biden and Biden and the Democrats, like Newsom, have been protecting them.

Spitzer said he and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) had been on the FBI’s case about the Chile-based gangs for nearly two years — but received no help. He claims the Department of Justice and Homeland Security have been long aware of the issue but have also declined to act.
The issue is only being raised now that several illegal migrants from Chile have been indicted for a string of robberies that stole millions in valuables from the homes of athletes — most notably Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
“Now that high-profile athletes and millions of dollars of their property is being stolen, now it seems to be getting a lot of attention,” Spitzer said.

The DA is calling for Chile to be removed from a US visa waiver program, arguing that Chilean nationals have been abusing the system to get into the country seamlessly to commit crimes.
The program allows foreigners from member countries to enter the US for up to 90 days without a visa. Chile is the only current South American country out of the 43 countries in the program.
“Every other South American country that has participated in the past has been kicked out of the program for sending their criminals to the United States of America,” Spitzer argued.
The issue is only being raised now that several illegal migrants from Chile have been indicted for a string of robberies that stole millions in valuables from the homes of athletes, according to reports. Fox News

Chile, the DA said, has failed to follow program rules that require criminal background checks on its citizens.
Some 350,000 Chilenos entered the US through the program in 2022, according to Fox News.
