Sacramento steals our money in the name of the scam climate change. It allows companies, for a lot of money, to buy “credits” to allow them to “pollute”. They buy it from companies that do not “pollute” as much. At the end of the day, we have exactly the same amount of “pollution”, but from a different source. To do this increases the costs. Gavin is going to give us back about $137 for our utility bills.
But, he is not giving us back a dime from all the products and services we buy that cost more due to the Cap and Trade scam. In the end we lose, government wins and firms flee the State.
“Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers are among the millions of Californians set to receive credits back on their upcoming utility bill as part of a statewide environmental program.
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on Tuesday that Californians will get an average of $137 in credits on their April gas and electric bills. The California Climate Credit, which is automatically applied to eligible customers’ bills every April and October, is part of the state’s Cap-and-Trade program.”
Just another Newsom scam pretending he is helping us.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers are among the millions of Californians set to receive credits back on their upcoming utility bill as part of a statewide environmental program.
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on Tuesday that Californians will get an average of $137 in credits on their April gas and electric bills. The California Climate Credit, which is automatically applied to eligible customers’ bills every April and October, is part of the state’s Cap-and-Trade program.
The Cap-and-Trade program sets a limit on how much greenhouse gases entities and organizations are allowed to emit. Entities can pay for greenhouse allowances and credits, but the limit of how much they can buy decreases over time.
Money spent toward greenhouse allowances goes toward funding environmental projects.
Aside from PG&E, customers with San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Gas Company and Southwest Gas are also eligible for the credits.
In total, the state is expecting to provide a total of $2.4 billion in residential credits for this April dispersion. Of that total, $1.4 billion is going toward electric customers while $1 billion goes toward natural gas customers.
An additional $122 million will go toward small businesses, Newsom’s office said.
The actual amount that will be disbursed as credits will range from $35 to $259 for electricity bills and about $54 to $87 for natural gas bills.

The governor’s office said customers do not need to do anything to get the credit. Credits will automatically be applied. The California Air Resources Board manages the state’s Cap-and-Trade program.
Since 2014, Cap-and-Trade has given back $10.9 billion in credits to customers, which averages out to $1,120 to California households, the governor’s office said. The state also boasts that the program has funded $28 billion in climate investments, more than half a million projects in the state, and 30,000 jobs.
Newsom’s office states that the program has cut millions of tons of carbon emissions.
And by formula, apartment dwellers, condo dwellers and low-income dwellers will get the lion’s share.
