CONFUSED?  California Republican Party Wants to AUDIT Federal AND STATE Programs—DOES NOT WANT THE CRP TO BE AUDITED?

In a beg letter asking for money, as if the CRP could do anything about the Congress auditing Federal programs or Sacramento auditing the train to nowhere or any government program, they want you to sign a petition (that goes where) and give them money, to send out more beg, letters.

In this case, the hypocrisy is transparent.  At a recent Board meeting the CRP decided NOT to do an independent audit or even an internal audit.  Instead a few people will “look at the books”.

The last audit was NINE years ago.  In the interim the Party has raised and spent $200 million dollars,  It has had dozens of “consultants”, yet no verbal reports at Board meetings.  No wrotten reports to the Board—this sounds more like the Federal government and why we need DOGE,

Do you know, really, where the CRP money has gone?  The results?  It has not gone toward voter registration—they only budget $50,000 a year for that and most years they spend less than $5,000 (per FPPC reports).

Here is the email:

“Steve let’s run the numbers, shall we?

California Democrats have spent:

$13.7 billion on a high-speed rail that has little-to-no progress.

$37 billion on homeless programs that resulted in a 30% increase in California’s homeless population.

$240 million on building a lavish prison with fancy amenities.

And now…

$1.1 billion on a new Sacramento building that will include private hallways to give lawmakers a way to hide from the media!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

We’re calling on YOU to help us demand a full DOGE audit of California. We MUST demand full accountability. >>
Let your name stand with other patriots who believe California deserves better. We’ll be checking the list first thing tomorrow morning—make sure your name is on it.

Thank you for taking a stand,

Corrin Rankin Chairwoman California Republican Party” How about a FULL DOGE audit of the California Republican Party?  Would you give money to an organization that does not have an independent audit—after raising and spending $200 million, and nine years? ***************************************************************

Like the Democrat Party, the California Republican Party does not support or endorse the Reform California ballot measure for the November, 2026 election to mandate Voter ID.  Though more than 80% of California Republicans support this, President Trump supports this, the CRP does not.

If we are ever to get to be relevant again in California we need honest elections—no illegal aliens voting.  The Golden West Republican Women are holding a statewide zoom on May 6 with the author of the measure, Assemblyman Carl DeMaio.  He will explain the contents of the measures and how to volunteer to get signatures, to qualify for the November, 2026 election.

This is a free ZOOM call, all you have to do is register:

(Periodically the California Political News and Views will publish tidbits of political news, to keep you in the loop of what the pooh bahs know.  The phrase “tom/tom’s” comes from my mentor, Lorelei Kinder who never passed a rumor, just called to tell me what she heard on the “TomTom’s”.  This column is named in her honor.)
