Finally, a hate filled college is forced to pay big money for its repealing of the First Amendment on its campus.
“The Epoch Times reported, “U.S. District Judge Jennifer Thurston found that the poster policy of Fresno-based Clovis Community College violated the students’ First Amendment and 14th Amendment rights.”
It turns out that administrators at the college were using the vague policy to remove posters promoted by a group of conservatives.
The judge’s ruling forbid the college “from enforcing, by policy or practice, any unlawful viewpoint—discriminatory, overbroad, or vague regulation, or prior restraint, on the content of the speech of recognized student clubs, including but not limited to bans on ‘inappropriate’ or ‘offensive’ language.”
The students also received $250,000 for their legal expenses and $20,000 for the local chapter of the group Young Americans for Freedom.”
The Judge should have forced those responsible for the totalitarian like action fired—and had their government issued credentials taken from them.

Democrats always claim to be in favor of free speech.
That is unless the speech happens to involve factual information that is inconvenient to their radical left-wing agenda or narratives.
But a judge just hit this California college with a ground-breaking ruling after it censored liberty-minded students.
Communism Kills
When we think of the worst dictators in history, everyone thinks of Adolf Hitler.
He killed over 6 million Jewish people, and 17 million people overall, during the Holocaust.
People forget that former Soviet Union Premier Joseph Salin killed over 30 million of his own citizens during his communist reign, though.
And even Stalin pales in comparison to the more than 80 million people who are estimated – so it may be far more – to have been killed by Chinese Marxist-Communist dictator Chairman Mao Zedong.
These are inconvenient truths for Democrats, who continue to push a radical left-wing ideology that mirrors those of Stalin and Mao.
And according to administrators at this California college, those historical facts, and the reality of how they connect to Democrats today, are to be censored.
“Inappropriate” or “Insensitive”
Clovis Community College, located in Fresno, California, had a policy that prohibits the public display of posters that it unilaterally deems to be inappropriate or insensitive.
That’s obviously such a vague policy that it could apply to anything, but administrators specifically used it to shut down speech they didn’t agree with.
And thankfully, a federal judge agreed the policy is absurdly vague.

In 2021, the students decided they wanted to inform their fellow students about the dangers of authoritarian regimes in history.
The students followed the rules to get permission to hang the posters in the official area.

The posters contained verifiable historical facts with the assertion that this was the danger of “the blind arrogance of the Left.”
Permission was originally granted, and then yanked while the group was also blocked from putting pro-life posters in the official locations.
When the university acted to block the posters, the students sued and were granted an injunction which prohibited the university from enforcing its policies.
Instead of realizing it was pushing a losing proposition, the university continued to fight and racked up huge taxpayer funded legal bills on each side.
The university appealed to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and lost again.
The judge’s ruling applies to all three campuses of the Clovis College system.
The students won an important victory for free speech on college campuses – albeit, a highly ironic one.
