Students pay good money and go deep in debt to get an education. Yet at the end of January Cal State teachers will go on strike—leaving the students to pay the bills for not getting an education. I would hope students will sue the teachers and union for theft—of tuition money.
““As CSU management refuses to listen, we have no alternative but to disrupt the business of the CSU to get their attention,” said Meghan O’Donnell, a professor at CSU Monterey Bay and vice president of lecturers for the faculty association. “We will not tolerate disrespect for the people who make the CSU work. The CSU runs on union labor and they need the dedicated employees and students for the system to function.”
Then when the unions get what they want, the students will pay higher tuition to finance the strikers. Crazy.
Cal State Faculty to hold statewide strike in January

The California Faculty Association will hold a week-long strike Jan 22-26 across all 23 California State University campuses.
The association, which represents about 29,000 professors and lecturers, has been fighting for a 12% general salary increase for this year. However, labor negotiations with the chancelllor’s office have been stalled for months. The university system is proposing a total increase of 15% over three years, including this year.
Earlier this month, the faculty held a series of one-day rolling strikes across four campuses.
“As CSU management refuses to listen, we have no alternative but to disrupt the business of the CSU to get their attention,” said Meghan O’Donnell, a professor at CSU Monterey Bay and vice president of lecturers for the faculty association. “We will not tolerate disrespect for the people who make the CSU work. The CSU runs on union labor and they need the dedicated employees and students for the system to function.”
To paraphrase that great sage, Will Rogers, if you borrow the money and go into debt to get an education from the Cal State system you don’t get an education, but you have debt. If you don’t borrow the money to go to the Cal State system to get an education, you don’t have debt but still have no useful educational skills. Merry Christmas!
These commie professors and instructors at the CSU campuses must be put in their proper places. Hoor the State of California and US constitutions. The ability for them to disrupt the learning process of honest student is a covert attempt to upend the investments of student’s tuitions and investments in time schedules affecting their futures.
Fire all these employees and outlaw employee unions in public sectors.
It is a verifiable fact, that these instructors from K-12 and collegiate levels are indoctrinating students with lies about Klimate (chump) Change, history, biologic aal facts of one’s natural sexual at birth.
All this is designed to over-throw our government by lies and deceits. Replace thes eprofessors wiht conservative and dedicated educators that will not toe the socialist BS.
