California is cannibalizing its capital

No, Sacramento does not have a fictional Uncle Bosy.  Instead it has hacks using tax dollars today to keep themselves in office, not worrying about how the State does not go bankrupt tomorrow.  The” city of Los Angeles has no money left to light a bridge at night?  No joke.  Criminals are the cause.

“During the day, thousands of cars and pedestrians cross the bridge, but at night, only cars can make the trip since all the copper wire used to light the bridge has been stolen by thieves.

“About 7 miles from end to end of copper wire that has been stolen,” Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de León told CBS News. “So these lights are becoming ATM machines.”

Rather than just refilling the Sixth Street Bridge copper vending machine, which costs millions each time, the city has decided just to let the bridge go dark at night.”

LA is a war zone—and the government hacks are denying what we see each day.

A key sign that your civilization has descended from a First World nation to a Third World nation is when your government not only can’t build new infrastructure but can’t stop citizens from cannibalizing the existing infrastructure.

First built in 1932, the Sixth Street Bridge crosses the Los Angeles River and connects downtown Los Angeles with the Boyle Heights neighborhood. The original structure was demolished in 2016 and replaced with a new, beautiful, modern structure at a price tag of $600 million.

During the day, thousands of cars and pedestrians cross the bridge, but at night, only cars can make the trip since all the copper wire used to light the bridge has been stolen by thieves.

Oakland, California, faces a similar problem with copper wire being stolen from traffic lights. Like Los Angeles, Oakland has simply given up. Most of the city now has four-way stop signs instead of working traffic lights.

California, which has famously spent billions of dollars on a high-speed train to nowhere, is rapidly looking more and more like South Africa’s failed state, in which the country’s freight rail system was slowed to a halt after thieves stole all the copper wire out of the rail power lines.

At some point, the citizens of California may get tired of paying some of the highest taxes in the country for nonfunctioning infrastructure and vote out the corrupt Democratic Party that refuses to prosecute criminals and keep them behind bars.

Until then, don’t try to cross the Sixth Street Bridge at night.
