Thought you should know that the city of Los Angeles is not safe for Christians expressing free speech. The Marxist Mayor of Los Angeles allows them to be muted and abused. Remember, Marxism does not believe in religion, this was to be expected.

City of Los Angeles Violates First Amendment Rights of Christian Group at Mayday USA Event – Is a Lawsuit on the Horizon

On May 31, 2025 during the Mayday USA event in Hollywood, the City of Los Angeles allegedly violated the First Amendment rights of a Christian group seeking to assemble and protest.
Mayday USA had applied for a permit to gather on Hollywood Boulevard to support parents and children and to celebrate their Christian faith through prayer, song, and baptisms. However, the City denied the permit, classifying the event not as a protest or assembly protected under the First Amendment, but instead as a concert or performance. Officials instructed the group to apply for a different permit through the Bureau of Street Services (BOSS), which handles permits for concerts and entertainment events.
The BOSS office subsequently denied the request, stating that they do not approve permits for protests or free speech activities—effectively leaving the group without a path forward. Attorneys for the organizers claim this is a tactic the City uses to discourage groups from exercising their constitutional rights.
Notably, the same type of permit requested by Mayday USA was approved for the LA Pride event the following week—at the same location and time—which also included community celebration and advocacy.
Attorneys representing Mayday USA argue that the City’s actions amount to a clear violation of their First Amendment rights. The City later suggested the group apply for a last-minute permit to take place one street over, which severely restricted their activities: baptisms were prohibited, and organizers were told that extended singing or speaking would not be considered protected speech under the First Amendment.
Mayday USA is currently exploring legal action against the City of Los Angeles in response to what they view as unconstitutional restrictions and discriminatory treatment.
