Del Amo Fashion Center closes early as police deal with ‘unruly’ crowd

Crime is everywhere.  Consequences and punishment is almost non existent.  Riots, smash and grab, beating a TV actor on a main street, no big deal.  Anti-Semitism, hate promoted by government schools against white and Asian people is the order of the day in classrooms.

“The police association two days earlier commented on Instagram: “Last night, the men and women of the Torrance Police Department, in partnership with Del Amo Fashion Center security personnel, worked tirelessly to protect the Del Amo Fashion Center and its patrons from an unruly crowd. Over the course of several hours, we utilized all available resources and safely cleared the mall of all bad actors without major incident.”

What are they talking about?  If they did such a good job, why was the Mall closed several hours before scheduled?  The hoodlums won—and the cops lost.  Just look at the results.

The Del Amo Fashion Center mall in Torrance closed early Saturday evening after a group of people became unruly, prompting a large police response, authorities said.

The Torrance Police Department responded to the shopping center at around 5 p.m. Saturday. The mall had been scheduled to close at 9 p.m., according to its website.

The police department said that the mall closed early, but it’s unclear exactly what the group of people was doing.

On social media, the city of Torrance said a large group of juveniles had caused a disturbance.

Dozens of police cars from multiple agencies were called to the mall, and witnesses said officers wearing riot gear were escorting people away from the mall.

Police on Sunday said there were two injuries.

The city of Torrance on X said Carson Street was closed from Madrona Avenue to Del Amo Circle East. Del Amo Circle East was closed from Carson Street to Fashion Way, and Fashion Way was shut down.

Just after 11 p.m., the city commented on X that traffic had resumed on affected roads “following police activity due to a large crowd.”

The city’s Police Officers Association commented on Instagram: “Your Torrance Police officers were hard at work again at the Del Amo Fashion Center to quell yet another unruly crowd.”

The association thanked assisting agencies including the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and police departments  from Inglewood, Hawthorne, El Segundo, Gardena, Palos Verdes Estates, Culver City, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.
