We know that Hunter Biden did not pay his Federal taxes—in the millions. We do not know if Joe Bien paid taxes on his bribes from China and other nations. But, no one has questioned if Hunter Biden, a Malibu resident, has paid his California taxes. Till now.
“”If Hunter is being prosecuted for failure to pay Federal taxes, it is folly to think he also filed his state income tax forms on time, and paid all his state taxes due on time, yet California officials have been utterly silent on the status of Hunter’s state tax liability,” said James V. Lacy, founder and President of the USJF. “Cohen ought to tell California taxpayers what the status of Hunter’s state tax liability is, given the Federal indictment, and what the state is doing to collect any taxes due or make Hunter accountable for properly filing and paying his taxes.”
If he didn’t pay Federal taxes, why would anyone think he paid State taxes? Glad to see Jim Lacy and the United States Justice Foundation opening that door.
Did Hunter Biden file and pay all his California state taxes due on income revealed in Federal indictment?
Conservative group asks State Controller to disclose status.

Today J.D. Hayworth, former sportscaster, six-term Member of Congress and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the United States Justice Foundation (“USJF”), called upon California State Controller Malia M. Cohen to disclose whether or not Hunter Biden has properly filed state tax returns and paid all the taxes due the state, given his Federal indictment last month in Los Angeles for failure to file for and pay Federal taxes. Hayworth said “If Cohen thinks Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers should pay more state taxes, surely she would want to ensure that Hunter Biden has paid everything he owes to the state as well,” referring to Cohen’s statement this week about the Dodgers’ deal with Ohtani that “deferral (of tax payments) for the wealthiest individuals exacerbates income inequality and hinders the fair distribution of taxes.”
Hunter Biden was charged by a Federal grand jury in Los Angeles with nine counts of failing to pay Federal taxes, tax evasion, and filing false tax returns. He is accused of failing to pay at least $1.4 million in federal taxes from 2016 through 2019.

Last summer, the USJF won its lawsuit in Federal Court in Orange County against the State Department for failure to disclose documents on Hunter Biden’s famous “laptop” pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request. In August, Federal Judge David O. Carter awarded USJF $82,000 in legal fees against the State Department for its’ lack of transparency in the FOIA case. Lacy added, “We ask California’s State Controller to show more transparency than the Biden Administration when it comes to Hunter Biden, and tell taxpayers whether or not Hunter is paying his ‘fair share’ of state taxes.”
