Newsom and the Marxist Karen Bass wanted the Palisades fire to continue.

Newsom and Bass knew about the lack of water, broken hydrants and firefighters hired based on DEI, not quality/experience/skill.  For years they also told law enforcement to disobey Federal law—and protect criminals, instead of arresting them and giving them to the proper agency.

Now they are protecting illegal aliens—and supporting the Soros, NGO, tax financed riots against the people of Los Angeles.   Some say Newsom is the modern-day George Wallace—both forced the President of the United States to send troops to defend the law.  Wallace wanted blacks out of schools.  Newsom wants illegal aliens in the schools, work place—but never arrested for their crimes.  Looks like the Democrat Party has not changed—it is America’s historic racist political Party.

Bass was the organizer and leader of the Los Angeles Venceramous Bridgae—the terrorist/intelligence organization of Fidel Castro.  She spent a lot of time in Cuba learning how to spy on the U.S., undermine our laws.  Now she is undermining the people of California.

To enforce supremacy of the Federal government over the States, Congress in 1792 passed legislation allowing the President to call up The militia (later the National Guard) to repel invasions, domestic Insurrections, and enforce Federal laws.

This was done under Article 6 Section 2 of the Constitution which established the power of the Federal Government over individual States.

Abraham Lincoln was not afraid to use this power in the Civil War. Neither were President’s Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson with  enforcement  of Civil Rights  laws  going back to the 1950’s.

Such power was made clear some 200 years ago by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall. Heruled the supremacy of the Federal Government in matters involving  States rights.

With this in mind we come to the controversy of President Donald Trump calling up the National Guard to protect and assist I.C.E. in rounding up illegal aliens (primarily felons) in California for deportation..

As might be expected resistance to this move has been found from Democratic politicians led by Governor Gavin Newsom. He contends, along with outraged liberal news media outlets, I.C.E. lacks the authority to take corrective action because it conflicts with California laws.

It is believed in Progressive circles Sanctuary Cities and non-cooperation with the Feds is allowed under States Rights. Such logic sure sounds like the same things Arkansas Governor Orval Fabus said in 1957 opposing President Eisenhower placing National Guard troops in his State to enforce the The Supreme Court’s Brown vs the Board of Education decision.

Fabus contended “I was not elected Governor of Arkansas to surrender all our rights as citizens to an all powerful federal autocracy.  It is my responsibility and it is my purpose and determination to defend the constitutional rights of the people the full extent of may ability.”

Does this sound familiar? Fabus and Newsom have a lot in common. Both are Democrats, who have believed they are exempt from decisions made in Washington D.C.

This attitude is nothing new for Newsom.  Over the years he and his predecessors in Sacramento have passed legislation in conflict to laws Congress has enacted.  Other than the Sanctuary City fiasco, California has more stringent environmental regulations than even the bureaucratic Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

CAP and Tradehas accomplished little except for raising electricity rates.

The California fuel blend that costs more than a buck a gallon than the rest of the country is a monument to government overreach. Outlawing fossil fuel powered cars in 10 years is another bridge too far on Newsom’s part..

The list goes on from the Governor trying to conduct his own foreign policy to pushing LBGQT laws well beyond the Golden State’s borders. Opposing Federal efforts to increase California’s water supplies to appease environmentalist supporters, is yet another instance of dumb policies in action.

Too bad Chief Justice Marshall is no longer around to put the “Slick One” in his place.

Many of those of us on the right have often wondered why it has taken President Trump so long to deal with the misdeeds of the Left Coast.  Will the rest of the nation allow  California to thumb their noses at them indefinitely without retaliation?

It is not surprising the news media has largely backed up anti-Trump allegations of elected officials such as Newsom, Senator Adam Schiff,  Rep Maxine Waters, and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The difference between these bigots and Civil Rights foe Lester Maddox is that the proprietor of the Pickwick Hotel held up an ax pick to illustrate his power.

As might be expected Gavin Newsom and his cohorts will try to get injunctive relief from the courts to have National Guard troops withdrawn from California.  They believe that since a hand written invitation was notissued to protect I.C.E. personnel and Federal property, Trump’s order should be revoked.

Unfortunately for them, woke rules of conduct have not passed both houses of Congress just yet!  

In a thinly veiled effort to bring attention to himself, Newsom begged on network news that he be arrested for defying the President. The delusional  Governor  of California likely believes his protection of migrant felons will lead to his being elected President in 2028.

Also, if one could suggest self proclaimed Marxist Karen Bass can win a second term as L.A. Mayor,  following her pathetic performance dealing with the Palisades fires; anything is possible.

Were Hunter Thompson still around, his immortal words from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas “When the going gets weird, the weird go pro”, might be considered to be  an understatement. 

The song indeed remains the same in politics.
