Eber: Turning the Pages

In 35 days, we will turn the page on the disasters of the past four years.  We will unburden by the past and allowed to look toward a Free nation once again.  Actually, Trump is already President.  He represented us in France at the re-opening of Norte Dame. HE, not Biden, attended the Army-Navy game and got a two-minute standing ovation.  Trump is already negotiating a ceasefire in both the Middle East and in Ukraine.

Freedom has returned.  The Constitution is again the law of the land.  Those in government that lied, cheated and abused their powers will be exposed.  On January 20 Trump will pardon the victims of Liz Cheney and the DOJ.  That space in jails will be needed for the FBI liars, the Fascist Fauci killers and the Green Agenda corruption creators will take their place.

“Congrats on the election even though I think it is going to be a real shit show.  So, we’ll see.  I am not panicked like the others since I can’t do anything about it.”

These words, written by my liberal Democrat cousin, means a lot to me.  Unlike the racist-hateful Progressive who are still mopping about their defeat,  Ron has a realistic perspective on what lies before us.  He believes whatever transpires under Donald Trump’s second term, Life will go on as we know it.

Although politics of those in power are going to be different, the fabric of our democracy will still be there.  This always take place when there is a new individual moving into the White House.

This reality is comforting for me. This is the first time since Ronald Reagan became President in 1977,  I have been at true ease on who is in charge of the Oval Office.

While Donald Trump may not have the attributes to be my Rabbi or Minister, he has the right stuff to take over the reigns of government.  Almost every horrendous policy his predecessor Joe Biden brought forth, Trump can reverse in his second term.

Those who voted for Trump look forward to his Executive Orders to take effect January 20th.  Demagogues on the Left  call these anticipated moves to be a form of dictatorship; but we all know better.

With this being the case, will there be anything to write about? How can journalists, social media pundits, and comedians (not called Jimmy or Steven) deal with:

  • No more stupidity like then Senator Kamala Harris asking Mike Pompeo during his confirmation hearing 2017 to be CIA Director, if there  are Transgender restroom facilities in the Pentagon?
  • Woke inspired changes on use of pronouns used to replace reference to male and female genders. Implementation of  DEI policies that defy the precepts of equal protection for all, imbedded in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
  • Absurd government job killing  policies promoting the Green New deal while trying to put energy companies out of business with new regulations.
  • 4 years of secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas telling  us the Southern border was secure while allowing over 10 million illegal aliens to enter the United States during the Biden Administration
  • A Democratic Inflation Reduction Act that did just the opposite in reducing the disposable income of the poor and middle class.

This is just for starters on the national level.

In California, the Biden-Harris social model still lives. Sales of gasoline  powered vehicles are set to be banned in a decade. In response to constant attack and overregulation by State government, several oil refineries in the Golden State are set to close.

When that occurs, how will consumers be able to get around without taking out a second mortgage to fill-up their vehicles?

Regulatory agencies ranging from the Coastal Commission to the California Department of Water Resources stifle business, housing development, and Agriculture, by actions of unelected bureaucrats.

A failing public education system inspiring low test scores and truancy. Democratic Politicians, beholden to the Teachers Union, are oblivious for the need for much needed change as the bow to the throne of national union leader Randi Weingarten.

Going along with this is Governor Gavin Newsom defying the Federal Government at  every opportunity. His continued economic support for the activities of Sanctuary Cities is but a tip of the iceberg.

Fortunately for journalists such as myself, the Theater of the Absurd in California provides us with unlimited topics to report on during the next couple of years.

It is a real blow to us no longer being taunted by the likes of Alvin BraggLetitia JamesJoe Scarborough, and  The View.  It is expected voters  along with faltering ratings will soon doom these Radical-Progressive lunatics to the political dust-bin.

If past history is an indication, these haters of American democracy will be replaced by a new generation of politicians  and media people.  Most likely they can be counted on to deliver more middle of the road perspectives to those who tune them in..

My chief regret for this expected turn of events following Kamala Harris’s resounding defeat, is that journalists such as California Political News and Views stalwarts Steve Frank and Richard Colman, no longer fear being imprisoned for their conservative views.

The three of us have recently joked about being incarcerated by Harris’s politicized Justice Department.  Our dream of placement in adjoining jail cells will likely never be realized.

I guess we can consider this to be collateral damage as we endeavor to fulfill our pledge to expose our undying love for the First Amendment.
