I need to update this article by Rich Eber. A week ago, he was correct, illegal aliens had become “migrants”. At the end of last week Biden solved the whole of the illegal alien/migrant issue. These folks are now “newcomers”—so pleasant to say, so welcoming, who does want to provide the newcomers with a covered dish to welcome them? Allow them in your home, schools, take your job. After all, they are newcomers—make them welcome.

Words have meanings. Except the word “woman”. Even Progressive Supreme Court members do not know what a woman is.

Apparently, I did not get the message. It is always my way to call those unlawfully crossing our borders to be labeled as “Illegal Aliens.”
Last week, when proofreading my column in Microsoft’s Word format, the program corrected me. They changed my previous description to “Undocumented Immigrants” The Online Police Reality Coordinator rejected the illegal alien designation. In their opinion, it was too offensive for readers to stomach.
Previously, it was my understanding, such responsibilities rested with CPN&V editor Steve Frank. I guess not!
So why is the term illegal alien so offensive that a Fortune 500 Company would correct me? I thought Word’s mission was fixing my frequent spelling and punctuation errors. This made me ponder if Microsoft is indirectly imposing censorship on their users?
In print and life, I have never used the “N-word” “Fu–ing”, “F?G”, and “A-Hole, in an offensive way. Despite the vulgarity of these expressions, they were not changed in conducting auto-check.
This tells me Bill Gate’s program is more interested in so called proper political thought than blatantly racist and offensive language.
Changing “illegal” to “undocumented” may not sound like a big deal; but it is. This censorship is a clear violation of free speech provisions in the U.S Constitution. Computer programs should never cross the line between taste and toleration.
Can we look forward to a new era where censorship routinely modifies language used in social media or when utilizing word processing tools?

Naturally the elephant in the closet is Capitalism. This economic system is considered to be the source of all evil. Progressive Democrats desire to subvert free enterprise” at every opportunity. Additional regulations and new government social programs are intended to further control how we live.
If Karl Marx were around today, he would be a cheerleader for leftist Democrats. California Senatorial candidates Katie Porter, Adam Schiff, and Barbara Lee would be on the top of his list.
Unfortunately, all socialistic economic models have failed starting with the Russian revolution. Gavin Newsom, and other Wokes, in rejecting history, have failed to get the message that “Freedom” works.
As might be expected, use of language is one of their first targets. This has included use of pronouns indicating male and female genders. Such bizarre-ridiculous efforts to change speech has already filtered down to primary education.
“He” and “she” are already on the “Do not fly list”. Girls, women, men, and boys meet a similar fate with the emergence of non-binary usage.
Allegedly eliminating references to males and females is supposed to erase prejudice against the LGBTQ community. Banning use of descriptions describing gender is intended to level the playing field.
Of course, there is some collateral damage. Mothers milk is referred to by ardent Wokes as being “human milk”. The phrase pregnancy of women has been replaced by “Birth Givers.” In some quarters men are now considered to possess the ability to bear children.
It matters not if this feat has never been accomplished except in Sci-Fi flicks!
The attack on use of pronouns is not limited to those speaking English. Similar efforts are now proposed in German, Spanish, French, Hebrew, and even Arabic languages. Attempting to “vanillafy” speech is a worldwide movement.
LatinX in action
Close to home in my family we have LatinX: First in the new rulebook is referring to those whose homeland is South of the border to reject their lineage. My two sons-in-laws having roots in Mexico and El Salvador, is no longer considered to be PC. When I asked the pair if they preferred to call themselves LatinX, they cringed at the thought.
Chris and Steven are proud of their ancestry. They don’t give a hoot what a bunch of over-educated pseudo-intellectuals might think.
A question should be asked is if a jury has been impaneled of Limousine Liberals to modify language use? If so, has there been an election to give these fruitcakes authority to scrutinize our vocabulary?
What concerns me is the effect of woke cancel culture on us. If this type of thinking further infiltrates into our way of life, it is certain it would diminish American traditional social values?
Currently conservatives are taking the brunt of their attacks. This especially applies at attempts intended to overcome perceived social and racial injustice in radical Progressive Democratic circles. Under such a model, those of Caucasian lineage are supposed to bow their heads in shame.
Examples include:
· Legitimizing radical organizations such as Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the current American Civil Liberties Unions (ACLU) to impose moral authority.
· So called Safe Spaces and Gender-Neutral bathrooms. These woke inventions deal with largely imaginary concerns affecting only a small proportion of the population.
· Cancel Culture efforts to ban speakers on college campuses that don’t conform with woke social values. Freedom of speech be damned!
· Promotion of Critical Race Theory and hatred of alleged white privilege. Such reverse racism has become a calling card of Progressive Democrats. Affirmative Action, often illegal, is the chief tool used to unknowably impose discrimination.
· Shadow Banning: This is a critical means utilized to isolate conservative viewpoints in social media sites.
The list goes on with everything from Pronoun Badges to taking a knee to protest standing for our National Anthem.
Somewhere along the line our society needs to put a stop to what Spiro Agnew referred to as these “Nattering nabobs of negativism.”
Changing illegal aliens to undocumented immigrants is merely the tip of the iceberg. Shame on Microsoft!
