Grant Cardone:  “Steve Frank Lives Rent Free in My Head (while I live in Miami)”

On the Lara Trump show May 24, Grant Cardone announced from the veranda at his home in Miami, that he was moving to California, to turn the State from blue to red.  Most believe he is going to run for Governor.  In fact, he already has an FPPC# 1478164 for his 10X companies (and an FCC#).

On his web page, 10x, he says he is planning tours of 26 cities in California.  I am told he has already held a couple—maybe Orange County and Beverly Hills.  Did anyone attend?  Were they political rallies—or a forum for his companies as marketing events or discussion of his economic worldviews.  As a close follower of political events, as someone that gets emails about events, I have not seen a single notice of any of these.  Activists email me about events.  They have not sent me a notice of any Cardone rallies or forums.  So, who did attend the events?

A couple of days ago I published a story on how Cardone has no respect for the middle class, demeaned them as losers.  Guess he was upset.  Instead of having a civil discussion, ask questions or call me, he published the following on “X” May 27 (but I am glad that he is a reader of the California Political News and Views):

(He sounds like a believer in the Old Soviet Union.  They used to take kids at three year old, indoctrinated and trained them.  Then sent them to America to become part of a sleeper cell.  Cardone sounds like the ultimate conspiracy theorist, “the Democrat took him at age 12, trained him, and he has worked inside the GOP for us for sixty-five years.”  Grant may be the ultimate conspiracy theorist!  “while others believe he is a Democratic operative embedded in CalGOP to disrupt party progress.”)

Meet Steve Frank – total loser, political pudge, never connected to any success in his life & a religious bigot. Everything wrong with California Republican party politics wrapped up in one “barely alive” person. Some say he works for @SteveHiltonx while others believe he is a Democratic operative embedded in CalGOP to disrupt party progress.”

In the year he was born, 1960—I walked precincts for Nixon for President.

In 1964, when he was four, I ran a Goldwater for President office on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.  When he was six, I was a director of Youth for Reagan for Governor, along with people like Dana Rorabacher and Shawn Steel.  I then serve in the Army in Viet Nam.  On returning, I was the State Chair of Youth for Nixon for President.  When he was 17, I was elected to the CRP Board of Directors and when he was 20, I was a member of the electoral College from California, voting for Reagan.  I could go on—but he is thinking like the old Soviets—get them young and embed them into America.  In Cardones’ case, he says, “while others believe he is a Democratic operative embedded in CalGOP to disrupt party progress.”

Can anyone name a campaign that he raised money for in California.  Can he explain why after 15 years, he wants to come back to California, to “flip” us—where has he been all these years.  In fact, he used to live in Hollywood—then move out of State, because he thought California was a bad State (his words at a Ventura County GOP event).

He calls me a religious bigot?  What religion have I denounced and hate?  Maybe he thinks Jews are automatically bigots?

This is a sad person—lots of money, but no sense of humanity.  This looks and sounds like a person with a Suppressed Personality.  No explanation for the FTC and State settlements.  No explanation for the large number of lawsuits.  Lots of questions—no answers.

Do you want someone for Governor who a year before an election lives 3,000 miles away?

(Periodically the California Political News and Views will publish tidbits of political news, to keep you in the loop of what the pooh bahs know.  The phrase “tom/tom’s” comes from my mentor, Lorelei Kinder who never passed a rumor, just called to tell me what she heard on the “TomTom’s”.  This column is named in her honor.)

  1. For years you’ve attacked people in this column with one-sided, putrid, reputation harming lies.

You published irrespective of the effect on those you smear.

How does it feel when someone does that to you?

  2. Steve have you forgotten this post you made? https://capoliticalnewsandviews.com/heard-on-the-tom-toms-96/

Your treatment of Cardone’s Scientology background is tinged with religious bigotry. It’s not just critical; it’s dismissive, mocking, and sets up a double standard that undermines the very pluralism and fairness that should be at the heart of a healthy political culture. As someone who values both rigorous vetting and respect for conscience, I’d argue we should demand better—both from our candidates and from those who write about them.

  3. Actually, it is Cardone that has made his religion an issue. In November, 2019 he put up a video on YouTube, “How Scientology made me a success”. So, if you want to call someone a religious bigot, you need to name Cardone as one. Do you think all of his videos and writings about the church will not become an issue? See it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1ocR1iu5TA
In politics, your opponents, those you are running against, will use anything to create an issue. Business activities, drug or alcohol issue, lawsuits, divorces, etc. all become fodder for a campaign. Not just Cardone, but any candidate.

By the way, over the years I have written many stories about people or organizations. How many times have I been asked to retract what I wrote? Zero. As Jack Nicholson famously said in the movie, “You can not handle the truth”.

  4. Cardone has zero chances of being elected CA governor. In fact, GOP doesn’t have any candidates for Governor who have any chance of winning — the usual non-entities that will guarantee that California will remain under the control of a mediocre Democrat.
