SPECIAL NOTE:  As you know over the past couple of weeks the California Political News and Views has completely revitalized our web site.  It is fresher, easier to navigate and more visually appealing.  The new website url is www.capoliticalnewsandviews.com

It is the premier conservative newsletter in the State.  It is read by elected officials from San Diego to the Oregon border, the media, grassroots leaders, most of the member of the Republican Party in California.  Leaders and members of volunteer organizations

We will be also able to take advertising for the newsletter.  If you are running for office and want immediate attention by conservatives, the California Political News and Views is the place to have your digital ad.  We will take only ONE candidate per race and only ONE side on ballot measures.  Want to let people know you are circulating a ballot measure—this is the place.

California Republican Assembly Endorses Eric Early for U.S. Senate—Garvey Disrespects Conservatives/Afraid to Answer Questions

On Saturday the California Republican Assembly, which President Ronald Reagan called the “Conscience of the Republican Party”, almost unanimously endorsed President Trump for re-election.

Then they turned to the U.S. Senate race.  CRA President Carl Brickey invited all the “announced” candidates on the GOP side.  All either attended or sent regrets.  Only Steve Garvey totally ignored the event.  Not even a note saying he could not attend.  More proof he is the candidate of the Schwarzenegger/Mayes wing of the GOP.  Of course, since he has not been seen since June, does he know he is running for the Senate.

Last week the California Political News and Views challenged Garvey to use the CRA convention to explain why he did not pay child support, why was he asking a family oriented organization to support an anti-children, anti-family candidate—and why the FBI had investigated him.  Importantly, why after 74 years of non involvement in public policy or politics did he decide to run for Senate.  Of course, if he shows up anywhere, these questions will be asked.

In fact, his handlers and consultants have decided to use the 2020 “BASEMENT” strategy of Joe Biden.  Garvey will not meet with the volunteers, Party conservatives or organizations. Is Garvey the GOP version of Biden?

Oh, someone nominated Garvey for endorsement.  No one seconded the motion!  Literally, Garvey has no support among conservatives.

The good news is that the CRA endorsed Eric Early.  He won 2/3 of the votes on the second ballot.  He showed support from every part of California.

Early is the only Senate campaign with a statewide grassroots effort.  Several County Committees have already endorsed him; he has raised over $600,000.

(disclosure: I have not endorsed any candidate for Senate)

This is National Socialism—Rob Reiner calls for the END of Democracy

Rob Reiner Reveals What Democrats Really
Mean By ‘Threats To Democracy’

In a tweet sent out over the weekend, Rob “Meathead” Reiner declared that “For our Democracy to survive, two things have to happen. Donald Trump needs to be Convicted for Jan. 6th and there can be no Third Party Candidate.” Reiner’s comment was so blatantly anti-democratic that it elicited an avalanche of criticism, some of it from leftists who didn’t particularly like the idea of barring third-party candidates. As one person on X (formerly known as Twitter) responded: “Better make sure there’s no second party candidate either, just to be safe. For Democracy.” Another way of putting what Reiner said: We need to kill democracy in order to save it.

(Periodically the California Political News and Views will publish tidbits of political news, to keep you in the loop of what the pooh bahs know.  The phrase “tom/tom’s” comes from my mentor, Lorelei Kinder who never passed a rumor, just called to tell me what she heard on the “TomTom’s”.  This column is named in her honor.)

  1. Both Early and Garvey were invited to the San Francisco Republican Party’s endorsement meeting. Early came and spoke to us. Garvey didn’t even respond to the invitation. We endorsed Early.

  2. Garvey has not been seen since June. Guess he is, like Biden in 2020, in his basement. By not responding to the CRA or the SFGOP, shows his disrespect for the Republican Party.
