  1. STEVE GARVEY FOR U.S. SENATE AS A REPUBLICAN

On Tuesday I wrote about Steve Garvey running for the Senate.  I used Google to find out his views on issues—but Google had none.  Today I used AI, Bard.google.com

This is what I found:

“Sure. Steve Garvey is a former Major League Baseball player who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1969 to 1982 and the San Diego Padres from 1983 to 1987. He was a 10-time All-Star and won the National League MVP award in 1974.

Garvey is a devout Christian and has spoken out against abortion and same-sex marriage. In a 2012 interview, he said, “I believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is the taking of an innocent human life. I will always fight to protect the unborn.”

He has also said that he believes that marriage is between one man and one woman. In a 2013 interview, he said, “I believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. I will always fight to protect the traditional definition of marriage.”

Garvey’s views on these issues are in line with the views of the majority of Americans. According to a 2019 Gallup poll, 60% of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases, and 55% of Americans believe that same-sex marriage should be legal.

However, Garvey’s views on these issues have been criticized by some people. In 2012, he was criticized for endorsing Mitt Romney for president. Romney is a conservative who opposes abortion and same-sex marriage.”

The question is, has he “evolved” and changed his views?  Or is this a way for the Establishment to divide the conservative vote, to assure two Democrats get into the November election.  Also, if he is a devout Christian, why is he working for the L.A. dodgers who are promoting hate against Christians?  Would love to have the answer to that!!

  •  Well Andy GiveMe Candy is at it again.  In the San Fernando Valley three conservative Republicans Clubs are holding a joint dinner.  So far, 250 tickets have been sold.  Andy demanded that Nathan Hochman be allowed to speak to the gathering.  Hochman is an NPP, who has denounced the Republican Party, after the 2022 primary he announced he was pro-choice.  Then he said he hated Trump and would never vote for him—though Nathan was the GOP nominee for Attorney General.

Andy got upset when told only Republicans can speak to these GOP groups, it is in their by-laws.  Andy ranted about it being ILLEGAL and had to end.  He demanded Hochman speak.  I have heard Andy is now going to the Rogue Nine, with their phony women’s GOP group and asking them to change their by-laws to allow NON-REPUBLICANS speak to their clubs.

Oh, through California Trailfailures (Trailblazers) Andy is running a “Republican” for office in the desert—I wonder if that candidate knows he is being used to harm the GOP?

  • This is how you corrupt government—you secretly pay for it:

Charity set up to support San Diego mayor’s office withholds finances, other records from disclosure — The project, called For All Of Us, collected money at the mayor’s behest from companies that have business interests before the city. Jeff Mcdonald in the San Diego Union-Tribune$ — 5/30/23

  • The new debt deal in D.C. does cut a bit of spending.  But it does one thing the GOP and the nation cannot afford—it ends the debt ceiling.  In other words, if passed, the Feds can spend as much as they want and the Congress has NO say in the debt ceiling.  Not a good idea.

Debt-Ceiling Deal Does Little to Change Direction of Federal Spending, Economy — A proposed deal to lift the federal debt limit would have only a small effect on the cooling U.S. economy or still-high inflation, according to economists, because it does little to reduce government spending that grew rapidly during the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath. Jeffrey Sparshott in the Wall Street Journal$ — 5/30/23
