HEARD ON THE TOM/TOMS

Heard on the Tom/Toms

Democrats GAIN 954,616 Voters OVER GOP Since October 2019

The numbers tell why the GOP is irrelevant in California.  Worse, they explain the leadership problems of the Republican Party in California.  The first lesson of politics is that you can’t win without voters.  The GOP does not seem to WANT voters in California.,

Yesterday, I received the following message from the California Republican Party, in part it read:

Stephen, the odds are stacked against us. California Republicans are more vulnerable than we’ve ever been before. “

Why are we more vulnerable? From the results, we can see the Democrat’s have a voter registration effort.. The California Republican Party does not. Don’t listen to the words–look at the numbers.

How do you measure success?  By the number of State office holders.     The GOP has zero

In the Assembly we are down to 18 and in the State Senate we are down to 9.  In Congress, out of 52, we have 12.  In the last U.S. Senate race, no Republican was on the November ballot.

For several years the California Republican Party has had a “bounty” program.  How well is that going?  Last year, the CRP paid out about $5,000 for around 400 registrations, statewide.  This year, from January till October 31, the CRP paid out about $1,000.

From the numbers of the California Secretary of State, you will see the results of the CRP voter registration program.

October 1, 2019     Democrats  8,956,480  44.06%

                                  Republicans  4,793,833    23.58%

Difference Dems over GOP—-4,1162, 547

After five years of Chair Jessica Patterson, October, 3, 2023:

                                Democrats  10,353,432  46.82%

                                Republican  5,286,269  23.90%

Difference Dems over GOP    5,017,163

Total GROWTH of Democrats in past five years:

2023    5,017,163

2019    4,1162, 547

Growth of Democrats over GOP in past five years:    954,616

The percentage differences are because NPP’s reregistered Democrat.

Voters vote—not percentages!  Want to know why the GOP is in trouble?  Look at the real numbers from the Secretary of State.  Someone needs to show these numbers to the CRP Board of Directors. They need to get involved, instead of allow voter suppression for the March Primary by holding a convention the weekend before the Primary.

Soon, I will do an analysis of several Counties run by Establishment chairs.  Just the numbers.
