HEARD ON THE TOM/TOMS

Heard on the Tom/Toms

Stephen Frank, Exclusive to the California Political News and Views,  12/8/23    www.capoliticalnewsandviews.com

Mistake Recognized:

  1.  Since he was ousted as Speaker I have predicted that Kevin McCarthy would announce his resignation from Congress on December7.  I was wrong—he did it on December 6.  As we know he has several million $$ in PAC’s to elect Republicans to Congress.  Now it looks like he changed his mind.  McCarthy has been quoted as saying he will spend whatever it takes to DEFEAT Republicans that voted against him.  In others words instead of defeating Democrats, he is going to use donor money to defeat Republicans.  Hard Core.
  2.  As part of this, it looks like State Senator Shannon Grove is going to run for the McCarthy seat.  But, the beginning of this race looks more like a Hamas event than a political campaign.  Grove needs to denounce George Andrews.  He wrote on “X”, the following—“Shannon Grove will destroy any human being dumb enough to run against her”.  “Anyone who files against her deserves everything that is straight at them.  Don’t say you didn’t get a warning.”

This why people dislike politics.  Grove has a solid conservative record to run on—but instead her surrogates are declaring a Hamas massacre if you run against her for Congress.  Andrews post is as ugly as anything SOC, the Squad or Hillary has ever said.  This is embarrassing.  Oh, the last I heard of George he was working for the PAC backing Gov. DeSantis.  (see the screenshot of the vicious Andews post).

Is this someone you want representing your candidate or hired by the CRP as a consultant?

  •  For years defeated Assemblywoman Suzette Valadares (who for the third time this year was NOT endorsed by the LAGOP with increasingly wide margins) has been saying her mentors are Retired Congressman Buck McKeon and his wife.  She made sure folks understood that they knew her well, helped her along and were close advisors.

Last week Congressman Buck McKeon and his wife Patricia hosted a fund raiser in the Santa Clarita Valley.  No, NOT for Suzette, but for DJ Hamburger, the conservative Republican opponent.  Could it have been her vote against parental rights?  Her vote to promote an Abortion ballot measure?  Or her vote to take away from cities to right to permit and zone housing, supporting Senator Scott Weiner,—to have Sacramento instead determine massive housing in your city?

The McKeon’s hosted a fund raiser for the only conservative, Republican with principles in this race.

A video of the fundraiser was spotted on the Hamburger campaign Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0a2roouvah/).
