SUZETTE VALADARES: She is Why the GOP has no credibility
Suzette Valadares—OPPOSES Trump for President. But Chief No Trumper in State, CRP Chair Jessica Patterson, appoints Valadares as a “Trump” delegate for the Republican National Convention
This is what Suzette Valadares said in September of 2022 to Fox40 :
“Assemblymember Suzette Valladares
“I’ve seen this show before and it’s a NO from me. The ugliness and toxicity must end. On all sides. We need a Great Unifier. Someone young. Someone with empathy. Someone new.”
When you look at the list of California delegates selected by Patterson, you will see the leadership, district by district of the NO TRUMP movement. Valadares shows wat happens when you have no ethics. She should be honest about her opposition to Trump, as she was in September of 2022. Could this dishonesty be why the LAGOP, after three tries refused to endorse her for State Senate?
So why do the no trumpers agree to attend a convention as Trump supporters—because they have no ethics. In the future when they are challenged as no Trumpers, folks that support anti-Trump, anti-conservative candidates, they will say they were Trump delegates. This is an effort by Patterson and her fellow travelers to scam Republican voters. Wonder when Trump will be told of this massive scam?
- The impeachment vote and Congressman Tom McClintock
California Congressman Tom McClintock was one of four GOP members that voted against the impeachment of the Secretary of Homeland Security. (Congressman Blake Moore of Utah changed his vote from YES to No for the purpose of being able, due to parliamentary rules, re-introduce the measure in a few days or weeks.)
McClintock reasoning was that the Secretary was only following orders—so it does not matter who the Homeland Secretary is, as long as Biden is President and setting policy. No one expected the Senate to even hold a trial—Schumer announced he would not. So this was a political exercise—but a victory for the GOP. Now Republican candidates can announce their opponent supports allowing up to two million illegal aliens into this nation every year—and at taxpayer expense, provide them with an attorney.
McClintock took a principled approach to the issue. We can not always agree with every vote of even our best Members of Congress.
- This is why housing costs are so high. A project in San Fran was started ten years ago—and still can not be built. Think of the added inflation costs due to this delay.
Housing project at S.F. parking lot stalled for a decade. Now the developer plans to supersize it — The new law allows developers to build even higher in San Francisco in exchange for greater affordability. The city is starting to see revisions to previously approved projects trickle in. Laura Waxmann in the San Francisco Chronicle$ — 2/7/24
- The collapse of the economy in California is continuing. The tech industry is still withdrawing from the Bay Area—and that area will be the first to have a complete collapse.
- Tech companies slash more than 3,900 Bay Area jobs in 2024 as layoffs widen — Tech companies have revealed decisions to slash more than 3,900 jobs in the Bay Area so far in 2024, cutbacks fueled by hundreds of staffing reductions in February that hint at a forbidding year for the crucial industry. George Avalos in the San Jose Mercury$ — 2/7/24
- Microsoft-owned gaming giant’s layoffs hit 162 Bay Area workers, offices closing — Activision Blizzard’s mass layoffs will affect 86 workers in Novato and 76 in Foster City, according to state filings. Roland Li in the San Francisco Chronicle$ — 2/7/24
- S.F. tech company DocuSign lays off hundreds to improve ‘financial and operational efficiency’ — The layoffs, part of a restructuring plan to improve the company’s “financial and operational efficiency,” will impact about 440 jobs. The company employs 7,336 workers, according to its most recent regulatory filing. Aidin Vaziri in the San Francisco Chronicle$ — 2/7/24

CORRECTION: I was sent what I was told was the TRUMP delegation list–instead it was the HALEY delegation’s list.
Suzette Valadares really does not like Trump–she is on the Haley delegation list with the rest of the No-Trumpers. Will make correction in next newsletter edition. Steve Frank
