California (and Virginia) Republican Leaders Abandon Party
Some of you in L.A. County might have received an email sign by:
Mark Valifades, former LAGOP Chair–a recent candidate for State Senate in VIRGINIA
Jim Brulte, past CRP chair—living in Orange County
Shawn Steel CURRENT CRP National Committeeman, past CRP chair, living in Orange County
Ron Nehring, past CRP Chair, living in San Diego County
Frank Visco, who actually lives in Lake Sherwood, Thousands Oaks, in Ventura County
They were endorsing a candidate for Los Angeles district Attorney. There is only ONE Republican running for this office, out of twelve candidates—Judge David Milton
No they did not endorse Judge Milton, they endorsed Nathan Hochman—a registered NPP. In 2022 he ran as a “Republican” for Attorney General, waited till AFTER the primary to announce he did not support Trump in 2016 or 2016—and was pro-choice. Hochman was really a Democrat—he misrepresented his views and his Party—to assure a real Democrat won as Attorney General.
Oct 19, 2022 · The moderate Republican says he is pro-choice and did not vote for Donald Trump in the last two elections. Hochman is aiming to capitalize on a time in which crime is a top concern for
Why run for office as a Republican, when Party leaders—NOT living in your District or County, endorse a candidate that is NOT a Republican? This is why the Republican Party has no credibility. When its leaders refuse to support Republicans running for office, you make sure the Party stands for nothing.
How bad is it?
Since September, the LAGOP has REFUSED to endorse Judge Milton for LA District Attorney. The Chair, Tim O’Reilly, who presented a Democrat Lite Platform at the CRP convention, who calls himself an Eisenhower Republican, changed rules, created roadblocks and used his position to assure Milton was not endorsed. Several of his allies are major supporters of HOCHMAN.
Monday night was the last time the LAGOP could endorse. So O’Reilly made sure there would not be a quorum. How did he do it? He held the LAGOP meeting in Long Beach—80 miles from the Antelope Valley. For those closer, like in the San Fernando Valley, they had to go to Long Beach via the 405—try that for a 7:00pm meeting in Long Beach.
Why did O’Reilly and these other Republican leaders refuse to support a very well qualified Republican candidate for District Attorney? This is how you kill the Party—why run when the leaders will undermine you? The LAGOP deserves an active Republican as Chair.

- San Fran opens $1.7 million toilet for business. Part of close to one billion deficits.
S.F.’s Noe Valley is finally getting its public toilet. Here’s what it will look like — City officials plan to open the infamous public toilet, part of a $1.7 million package deal with Precita Park in Bernal Heights, in April. Jessica Flores in the San Francisco Chronicle$ — 2/13/24
