California Political News and Views—On the Case
Last week the California Political News and Views reported that LAGOP Treasurer Keith Casio and Chair Tim O’Reilly refused to give the financial results of the past four fund raiser to the LAGOP members. Without knowing how much they made, or lost (at least two of them lost money I reported) then how can you create a budget for the November election? They also have refused to give full financial reports on how much is owed, to whom. None of the members know how much money the LAGOP has.
I offered Treasurer Casio an opportunity to respond to these issues. Since then neither he nor O’Reilly have asked for a single retraction or even suggested anything reported is incorrect. The offer still stands—if you would like me to publish an explanation or correction, I will do so.
Also last week I reported that the SFGOP, chaired by John Dennis, promoted an event for a billionaire Progressive Democrat running for Mayor in San Fran—Dan Lurie.
Now we find, in the same newsletter (March 27) Dennis, who also serves as the CRP Chair of Chairs (top county chair in the State) promoted a program by Planned Parenthood on how to kill more babies.
I should note the SFGOP committee members did not approve these promotions of a Democrat running for Mayor or a Planned Parenthood program. Chair John Dennis did this on his own.

For several months I have warned that if Steve Garvey was the GOP nominee for Senate, Schiff would be able to stop campaigning for himself and raise money for Democrats running for Senate around the nation. Which he has done. Schiff expanded that, to raising money for Democrats running for Governor around the nation. My warnings have now come to the attention of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). They realize that with Schiff running against Garvey he does not have to spend any money—just raise it so he can give money to other Democrat candidates—or directly help them raise money.
Here is the latest email message from the NRSC—glad to see the folks in D.C are listening.

Rep. Adam Schiff would not have this money to spend in Montana (and elsewhere) if Republicans had wisely let the California senatorial race be between Schiff and Rep. Katie Porter. Schiff would have had to spend A LOT of his money on his race and wouldn’t be focused on other senate races. However, now that it’s between Schiff and former Major League Baseball player Steve Garvey, Schiff can sleep through the entire campaign and use his millions to help other Democrats win their senate races.
There’s a reason the GOP is called “the stupid party.”
