Heard on the Tom/Toms

Unity?  Should CRP Chair Oppose President Trump on Key Issues?  Is This Divisive?

Does it really matter if someone went to a party in D.C. or a convention, if they do not support President Trump on policy?

At the Fall, 2023 California Republican Party convention a motion was made to amend the agenda, to allow a vote to endorse President Trump.  Those supporting President Trump stood up.  Corrin Rankin sat down.  When action was required, she refused to support President Trump.  But she did attend the RNC convention

Trump opposes DEI.  Rankin supports it

Trump opposes abortion.  Rankin supports it

Trump opposes CRT/Affirmative Action.  In 2020 Rankin campaigned to support Affirmative Action.  She congratulated Assemblyman Tom Lackey, publicly, for not supporting a bill opposing Affirmative Action.

As CRP Chair, she would be the chief spokesperson for the GOP in California.  As such, she will be going on record opposing President Trump.  You can be assured here in California and Nationally, the Democrats will use the words and actions of Corrin Rankin to show the GOP is “divided”.

Want unity in the CRP?  You do not get it by opposing the key positions of President Trump, the GOP in the House and Senate.

(I have written about this several times.  It should noted that NOT ONCE has Corrin Rankin said I misrepresented her views or positions)

This is why the CRP needs paper ballots

Let us remember that last week Germany held a national election, with a population of 83 million.  They only used paper ballots.

They had Voter ID

Nine hours after the polls closed the full counting was completed.

Trump wants paper ballots the Republican National Committee wants paper ballots.

Opposing President Trump and the Republican National Committee?  Corrin Rankin.  She wants the CRP to vote as the Democrats want you to vote.

(Periodically the California Political News and Views will publish tidbits of political news, to keep you in the loop of what the pooh bahs know.  The phrase “tom/tom’s” comes from my mentor, Lorelei Kinder who never passed a rumor, just called to tell me what she heard on the “TomTom’s”.  This column is named in her honor.)
