If you donated to Kevin McCarthy congressional PAC’s, expecting to defeat Democrats, you got took in a gigantic bait and switch.
“The Central Valley Values PAC has spent more than $419,000 on mailers and digital advertisements in support of Fong and in opposition to Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.
- Wednesday, a new filing came out noting that the McCarthy-backed Super PAC was sending mailers to Democrats attacking Marissa Wood (D–Bakersfield), the former Speaker’s 2022 foe, in hopes of consolidating left-leaning support around her and vaulting her into the top two for a run-off in November.”
This congressional district will elect a Republican—so money spent by PAC’s for and against a GOP’er—is money that should have gone to a GOP’er in a swing district to defeat a Democrat.
