A San Diego restaurant was raided and a couple of illegal aliens detained, ready for deportation. Customers are upset. Maybe ICE should close the place down and fine the owners for hiring illegal aliens. That would be a sign to other wink-wink employers of illegal aliens they too can be closed.
“In a statement, Buona Forchetta said, in part, “We are working closely with our attorneys to locate and support our detained employees and their families.”
“The Trump administration has put out that they want to see 3,000 arrests a day,” said immigration attorney Aman Nasseri.
Nasseri added that there are a lot of unknowns when it comes to these raids.
“Whether these arrests will actually turn into something, that’s a different story, but to actually make the arrests and prove the point to make people either leave voluntarily or deter businesses from hiring people who are here illegally, that’s kind of the direction,” Nasseri explained.”
These customers are the type of folks that exploit illegal aliens due to low pay. Shame on them.
Outrage and solidarity after ICE raid shakes South Park restaurant

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Shockwaves are still rippling through the tight-knit community of South Park after ICE agents stormed Buona Forchetta on Friday afternoon.
After seeing the heavily armed response spill from the restaurant on Beech and 30th streets, neighbors aren’t taking what happened sitting down.
“We’re organizing, but tonight I brought $50 to give for the families,” said Jean Di Carlo-Wagner, who frequents Buona Forchetta.
Customers like Di Carlo-Wagner formed a lined that never stopped after doors reopened Saturday. The federal immigration operation led to an early closure the day prior with management confirming at least two employees were detained.
“What they did was wrong, heavy handed and traumatizing,” said Di Carlo-Wagner.
In a statement, Buona Forchetta said, in part, “We are working closely with our attorneys to locate and support our detained employees and their families.”

What’s not being deterred is support from the community.
“I was going to order takeout, but thankfully they’re really, really busy,” said Golden Hill resident, Nancy Francis.
Several local leaders, including San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, have issued statements on the matter. Gloria noted in part that he “raised these concerns” and his “strong objections” directly with Homeland Security Investigations leadership.
Congressman Scott Peters also stated on social media that his office will be investigating.
A number of local businesses have also been taking to social media, expressing support for Buona Forchetta.
If they are here illegally, they should be deported and the employer should be fined $10,000 for every illegal employee or sent to jail. Maybe the business should be shut down too and the employers forbidden from operating any business for 10 years.
There was a major event cancelled, in Texas, this past week, over threats of pro-hamas/ anti-Israeli violence.
Absent operations involving actual active criminal warrants, raiding workplaces and restaurants to cast a flimsy dragnet for a group of potential suspects doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence in the capabilities of our federal law enforcement agencies.
There are plenty of heavily armed, illegal aliens who just happen to be engaged in drug trafficking, sex and labor trafficking, racketeering, etc.
Get off of your backside, secure some felony warrants and get to work with actually protecting the innocent people of our communities.
