Power outages shut down service on two BART lines

The blackouts are coming.  Even BART is seeing the lack of energy.  Try to get to work and you are stuck on a train going nowhere.

“Service between the Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton station stopped after the outage began about 9:30 a.m., BART spokesperson Jim Allison said. The agency is in touch with the utility, he said.

BART service also stopped between the Rockridge and Orinda stations about 10:35 a.m. because of a PG&E issue in the Berkeley Hills Tunnel separate from the earlier problem, Allison said.

PG&E did not immediately return calls seeking the reason for the outages. There was no estimated time when power was to be restored.”

Wait till summer.  California is in trouble and Newsom is traveling the country running for President.  As for me, I bought a generator so the electricity will stay on in my home.

As gusty winds swirled over the Bay Area on Thursday, PG&E power outage Thursday shut down BART service in two areas of the system, officials said.

Service between the Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton station stopped after the outage began about 9:30 a.m., BART spokesperson Jim Allison said.

There was no estimated time when power was to be restored.

Allison said BART at 10:45 a.m. that the transit agency was working on setting up bus service between Orinda and Rockridge but that it had not done so yet. There was no bus service transporting people between Castro Valley and the Dublin/Pleasanton station, he said.
