Recall Diana Becton Group Given Approval to Collect Signatures

LA got rid of George Gascon.  San Fran got rid of the revolutionary Chesa Boudin, Alameda tossed out the Soviet style DA, Pamela Price.  Now Diane Becton of Contra Costa, also a Soros owned DA—protecting criminals and denouncing victims, is about to be throw out.

“The recall said Tuesday they are coordinating future event dates and locations to begin collecting signatures to recall Diana Becton after the April 26 signing event. Gwyn Gabe, issued a statement earlier this week denouncing comments made by Becton stating this was a “politically motivated” recall effort. Gabe said he was also a Democrat and even voted for Becton. He said the recall was about her job performance and her not doing her job to protect crime victims and their families.

Like in San Fran, the Recall effort is being led by Democrats.  You know you are a rotten DA when your Party goes after you.  Will Soros finance the Save Becton campaign?

On Friday, the group attempting to recall Contra Costa District Attorney Diana Becton was given approval to begin collecting signatures. They have also announced their first signature gathering event which will be held April 26.

Here is the statement released:

We are pleased to announce that our recall petition has received approval today, Friday, April 18, 2025. As stated in the email with the official letter we received, we need a total of 72,556 valid signatures. The reviewing body has 60 business days from the filing date to assess the petition and verify that the necessary number of voters have signed it. All completed petitions must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025, which is 160 days from the notice date.

If the petition meets the required standards, the elections official will certify the results to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors upon completing the review. The Board of Supervisors is required to order an election within 14 days following their meeting. Should the Board fail to issue this order within the specified timeframe, the Registrar of Voters will set the election date within 5 days.

The election will take place no sooner than 88 days and no later than 125 days after the order is issued. However, it may also occur within 180 days of the order if it can be coordinated with a regularly scheduled election.

The recall organizers have decided to hold a press conference and the first day of signing on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 5 PM. This event will take place at Alexis Gabe’s memorial bench located at 3231 Main St., Oakley, CA, just outside city hall. They believe it is important to celebrate this momentous occasion with the many supporters who have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to sign the petition.

Please confirm your attendance. For any questions or further information, feel free to contact us via email at [email protected]  or [email protected] . We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

The Recall District Attorney Diana Becton Team

The recall said Tuesday they are coordinating future event dates and locations to begin collecting signatures to recall Diana Becton after the April 26 signing event. Gwyn Gabe, issued a statement earlier this week denouncing comments made by Becton stating this was a “politically motivated” recall effort. Gabe said he was also a Democrat and even voted for Becton. He said the recall was about her job performance and her not doing her job to protect crime victims and their families.

Becton now becomes the latest District Attorney in California to be hit with a recall. Most recently, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price was recalled while in 2022, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin was recalled. In Los Angeles, George Gascón lost his reelection bid to Nathan Hochman.
