Sixteen- and 17-year-olds will be able to vote in school board elections in Oakland and Berkeley

Berkeley has decided to allow students to vote for school board.  This is the first step toward allowing them to vote for city council.  You can bet the city will then permit illegal aliens to vote for school board and city council.  At what time do the honest citizens Recall those that made this decision or leave town?

“Voters approved measures in 2016 and 2020 allowing these teenagers to vote. But it has taken years for the Alameda County Registrar of Voters to approve a system to allow these young people to register and vote only in school board elections and not in other elections. Teenage advocates and the community organization Oakland Kids First have been pushing for the county to implement youth voting ever since the measures were approved.

If a 16- or 17-year-old wants to register to vote in the school board elections, they must use the pre-registration system to register to vote as a “youth voter.”

Oh, do not be surprised if teachers hand out the registrations forms—and then hand out the ballots—while “suggesting” to them who to vote for.  Berkeley is officially a Banana Republic.

For the first time in the history of California, 16- and 17-year-olds will be able to vote in school board elections in Oakland and Berkeley this November.

Five small municipalities in Maryland also permit youth voting for school elections.

  1. Lowering the voting age to 16 and 17 year olds is discriminatory. 15 year olds attend the same schools. They too should be allowed to vote. Every school student should be allowed to vote. California needs to fully embrace their progressive ideology. You can’t be a little pregnant. You can’t be a little progressive.
