Stanislaus County’s jobless rate hits 6% in October as California’s rate also rises

The national unemployment average is 3.8%.  In California it is 4.8%–and in Stanislaus County it is 6%.  It is on this record of killing jobs that Gavin Newsom is running for President.

“Stanislaus County’s unemployment rate rose to 6% in October up from 4.9% a year ago, mirroring a similar rise statewide, according to California’s Employment Development Department.

California’s unemployment rate increased from 3.9% to 4.8% over the same 12 months. The EDD reported that unemployment remained steady nationwide. It was 3.4% in October 2022 compared with 3.6% this October.

Maybe if we drilled and fracked for oil, it would be different.  If Sacramento did not take over the employment of workers in the fast food industry, it would be different.  If government schools were not so bad and productive people had to leave the State to protect their children, it would not be so bad.
