This is the most heinous crime of all’: Voters demand answers about Supervisor Scrivner as investigation nears a month

Kern County Supervisor Scrivner is accused of being a pedophile.  Yet he has not been arrested.  In fact, no one is sure where he is.  Questions have been raised as to domestic violence.  But he has not answered the questions, nor is he doing his job as a Supervisor.  He will not attend forums.  Oh, there is a protective order against him not to contact his children—one of whom stabbed him to protect the other family members.

“Others, like Harveen Kaur, told the board Scrivner was a “pedophile” that needs to be held accountable.

“I need him to be held accountable by the law that Kern County so proudly says we enforce. Where is the enforcement now?” said Kaur.

Kaur said these are allegations Kern County can’t just overlook.

“This is the most heinous crime of all: pedophilia, touching a minor, sexually assaulting a minor. It’s not something to be brushed away and brushed under the rug,” said Kaur.

As of Tuesday evening, Scrivner has not been arrested and has not been charged.”

It is time for Scriver to resign, apologize to his family and the community—then be arraigned and go to trial.  To protect the community this is the only honest, decent, thing to do.  Obviously Scrivner is neither honest or decent.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — With sexual assault allegations surrounding Supervisor Zack Scrivner for nearly a month, his seat remaining vacant, and law enforcement remaining tight-lipped, community members demanded answers and urged for his resignation at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.

“I strongly urge Supervisor Zack Scrivner to resign as Board of Supervisor,” said one speaker.

Vince Maiocco with the Taft Republican Assembly addressed the issue to the board and said he had no choice.

“It’s kind of the elephant in the room, and not just the elephant in the room, but the elephant in the county,” Maiocco said.

Maiocco spoke on the now postponed Scrivner town hall event, which was supposed to serve as an outlet for the community to voice their concerns. It remains unknown who organized the event, but it was suddenly postponed after a member of state Sen. Shannon Grove’s office spoke to the venue. Maiocco suggested the board hold its own town hall following the event’s sudden cancellation.

“There was some political pressure on these individuals to basically scrap their town hall meeting,” said Maiocco.

Some also questioned why Scrivner is not under arrest.

“If this were anybody else who doesn’t hold this position, they would be arrested. They would have bail posted, they would have so many actions taken against them and he’s — who knows where — sitting comfortably,” said Armando Garcia with Kern County Young Democrat Leaders.

Others, like Harveen Kaur, told the board Scrivner was a “pedophile” that needs to be held accountable.

As of Tuesday evening, Scrivner has not been arrested and has not been charged.

The board provided a presentation, addressing actions it could take regarding the empty seat.
One of them is a recall, which could be complex and lengthy. The other is a writ of quo warrant, which is used to challenge a person’s right to hold office.

But first, some just want answers.

“You’re innocent until proven guilty. And if you’re innocent, it would be nice to hear some words coming from him,” said Maiocco.

The board said the investigation into Scrivner is still in its early stages and they do not have any special information into the allegations against him. Scrivner’s attorney has said his client is innocent.

  1. The Board should not be investigating him, the police should. This is not a Kern County crime. This is a crime InAmerica.
