California schools are failing our students. In this district, instead of learning about the Rule of Law, the students and parents are learning how to disobey the law, protect criminals and make the schools safe for drug dealers, perverts and vile criminals.
“On Wednesday night, the district hosted a “Know Your Rights” event along with local non-profit organizations.
“To give them the legal information they need to know regarding their immigration status, the laws, what their protections are,” said Burke.
Joey Ramirez, an advocate with the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, said the demand for legal information has never been higher.
“By just informing them of their rights, it really can make a difference,” said Ramirez.”
How about teaching responsibility, not how to break the law? If this district is taking any Federal funds, maybe they could be cut off? Obviously this is an outlaw district.,

MCCLELLAN PARK, Calif. —
In the wake of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, fear and confusion are palpable among immigrant communities.
Travis Burke, spokesperson for the Twin Rivers Unified School District, said the district has received multiple calls from concerned parents.
“We did see some changes in attendance,” said Burke.
Burke said one of the district’s main concerns is the amount of misinformation.
“A lot of different avenues for people to get information that may or may not be correct,” said Burke.

Legal experts and advocates addressed the recent changes in immigration law and policy at the event.
They also answered questions to help all immigrants, regardless of status.
Burke says the goal is to minimize fear among families to keep the focus on education.
“Our schools are safe,” said Burke. “That’s a safe place for you to be at the moment.”
