UCLA professor apologies for suggesting military coup to stop Trump from further aligning with Putin

This professor is allowed in the classroom.  This professor is allowed to rally and riot on campus.  This professor can use his standing as a professor to get in the media and promote his totalitarian views.  Should the taxpayers of California finance someone who openly wants to overthrow the government.  That is called sedition.  Why hasn’t he been arrested?

“The criminal law professor, Peter Arenella, spark controversy Saturday when he posted on X: “At this point, my only hope for the U.S. to avoid becoming an ally to Russia is a violent resistance by our military. Tragic to say that because the military is trained to avoid any politically motivated intervention.”

Note he is a law professor.  Imagine the revolution he is promoting to future attorneys.  I would not want to hire any attorney that took a course from the Stalinist.

A University of California, Los Angeles professor is apologizing for suggesting a military coup to stop President Trump from further aligning the U.S. with Russia.

The criminal law professor, Peter Arenella, spark controversy Saturday when he posted on X: “At this point, my only hope for the U.S. to avoid becoming an ally to Russia is a violent resistance by our military. Tragic to say that because the military is trained to avoid any politically motivated intervention.”

Trump as early as his first term, and increasingly in the early weeks of his second term, has said he has good working relationship with Russia President Vladimir Putin, whose country has long been considered one of the United States’ biggest global threats.

Trump most recently has appeared to try to negotiate with Russia and much as Ukraine in an effort to end the countries’ three-year-long war.

After facing backlash on X, including from one person who whom allegedly sent the professor’s post to the FBI Director Kash Patel, Arenella apologized Sunday, saying he doesn’t think a military coup is a good idea and regrets “that post.”

However, he also argued that some people had misread his posts, claiming he “never advocated for this option.” By Monday, he appeared to take full responsibility, writing that he won’t post on X “for at least a week” because of his “terminal stupidity and laziness in not editing a very misleading post.

UCLA as Monday afternoon had not released a statement on the matter, and did not respond to Just the News’ request for comment.

Arenella has a history of making anti-Trump comments on X, going as far as suggesting the president is an anti-Christ who puts the “last nail in the coffin of our democracy,” As accordin the Campus Reform, aconservative news website focused on higher education.
