LAGOP MEMBERS:  NOT TOLD ABOUT REVENUES, EXPENDITURES, LOSSES ON FUND RAISERS OR MONEY IN BANK AND AMOUNT OWED.  CONSIDERED MUSHROOMS

We are now, or should be, in full movement toward winning elections for November.  That means completing our precinct operations—training them and testing them.  It means creating messages that resonate with the greatest number of the public.  It means building coalitions based on candidates, issues or ballot measures.

To get this done properly, budgets have to be determined.  The first step is to determine the money currently available and how to get the money needed.  To begin this process, the LAGOP members need to know the amount currently available, the amount owed.  Also the LAGOP has run four fund raisers recently.  One with Sen. Rand Paul, another with James O’Keefe, plus one with John Eastman.  Last Saturday they had a fund raiser with Steve Hilton and Tulsi Gabbard.  It is understood that at least two of them lost money.  Worse, the LAGOP Treasurer has not given an accounting of any of them (the Hilton event still has bills coming in).  In other words, the members can not see what worked, what didn’t work and how to fix the problem.

Added to this is that fact that the LAGOP owes one person over $16,000—and no one knows if interest is added to that—or if they offered a negotiated settlement.

Then at the last meeting Treasurer Casio announced the $1500 a month “headquarters” (any members know where it is AND have been to it?) is being closed.  Reason, they had no money for the rent.  Yet, it appears that the location is still being rented by the LAGOP—but no one knows if the rent has been paid and how much, if any, is owed on back rent.

So when the LAGOP meets in April to make its plans for the November election, unless they have a full and complete financial report, there is no way they can make any plans.  Why is Treasurer Casio and Chair Tim O’Reilly refusing to allow the members to meet their fiduciary and political responsibility of setting plans for the November election?

I have asked via email Treasurer Casio for an answer about the headquarters, but no reply.  If he gives an answer I will report it.  I expect that at the April meeting the members will demand financial answers.  Certainly, if someone wants to lead the LAGOP they should show leadership by demanding the basic question?  What are our finances?

(Of the six members of the LAGOP Executive Committee, only two survived the March 5 primary.  The others did not run or were defeated.)

When you are hiding something, you have something to hide.

Yesterday I received the latest newsletter from the San Francisco GOP.  Lots going on and seem very active.  Great.

They have one section for upcoming events.  Petition signing, rallies, meetings, candidate’s activities.  That is good.  But I was shocked to see this:

April 5, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, “Giants Opening Day with Daniel Lurie”, Oracle Park, 24 Willie Mays Plaza | RSVP or learn more here.

Daniel Lurie is a VERY RICH DEMOCRAT running for Mayor.  Why is Chair John Dennis and the SFGOP promoting one of his events?  Wonder if his Committee will ask him to stop promoting Democrats?

Yet, BELOW this they note an event for a GOP candidate for Mayor—the Democrat got top billing.

In 2022 the cost of a “Super Star” burger at the local Simi Valley Carl’s Jr. was $3.99.  Today the SAME burger is $8.99, plus tax.  This is what families are facing—even fast food is too expensive and really bad service.  But Carl’s had a total of TWO people working.  Why?  Because they have fired workers due to the April 1 take over of wages, benefits and working conditions by the State of California. Owner risks capital—and government controls the joint.  This is called Socialism
